Mrs. Amy Cousino
Hello! My name is Amy Cousino and I am very excited to begin my first year as principal here at St. Joseph Catholic School. I am a proud graduate of Catholic schools, attending St. Anthony in Temperance for elementary school and St. Mary Catholic Central in Monroe for high school. I am also a graduate of Oakland University with a degree in Education and a major in Language Arts. I began my teaching career in 2002 as the 5th grade homeroom and 5-8 Science teacher here at St. Joseph. I taught in this position for 9 years and earned my Masters of Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University during that time. From there I taught a year of fourth grade at Mason Central Elementary School and three years of 4th grade at Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools. In 2015 I returned to St. Joseph Catholic School as the administrative assistant. I was promoted to assistant principal in 2018 upon completion of the Archdiocese of Detroit Principal Formation Institute. I am currently pursuing my Administrator Certification through the Path to Leadership.
